How to release and renew IP address in Windows XP?

Releasing and renewing IP address in Windows XP.

    Please release and renew IP address via Command Prompt.

    1. 1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt.
      The Command Prompt window will appear.



    2. Type the following command, and then press Enter.



      The IP address is displayed.



    3. Continue to type the following command, and then press Enter.



      After that, the IP address will be renewed.



      Note:
      If the IP address cannot be renewed via ipconfig /renew, there are network connection problems.
    4. Continue to type the following command, and then press Enter.

      Please confirm whether the displayed IP address is compatible with the network environment.
