If I slide the [UNDOCK] switch of my docking station while my computer is in the video standby mode, the system hangs. Why is this so?

If I slide the [UNDOCK] switch of my docking station to dismount it while my computer is in the video standby mode, the system hangs and I cannot resume it from the video standby mode. Why is this so?

You cannot remove the docking station when the computer is in the power saving mode. To dismount the docking station, you have to resume the computer to the normal mode, and then detach the docking station.
