What to do when the VAIO computer doesn't recognize the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive of the docking station?
The VAIO computer doesn't recognize the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive of the connected docking station when communicating with another computer through the i.LINK network, with the i.LINK network switch at the bottom of the docking station set to the direction of the black circle indicator.
To use the i.LINK network through the i.LINK connector, make sure that the i.LINK network switch at the bottom of the docking station is set to the direction of the black circle indicator.
When the i.LINK network is not used, make sure that the i.LINK network switch is set to the opposite direction of the black circle indicator.
Note:
- Do not change the position of the i.LINK network switch when the VAIO computer is running as this may cause malfunction.
- To change the position of the i.LINK network switch, make sure the docking station is disconnected from the computer and all cables connected to the docking station are removed.
If the problem persists, please send the VAIO computer to the local Service Center for technical assistance.
