The Soundscape app doesn't connect to my headphones or doesn't work properly.
Note: The Microsoft Soundscape app for iOS is no longer available per a Microsoft policy change that went into effect on August 30, 2023. Please refer to the Microsoft website for more information.
Select your issue:
- The Soundscape app does not work properly, or sound is heard from another direction
- I cannot connect my headphones to the Soundscape app
Note: The Soundscape app is only supported for use with iOS. It is not supported for use with the Android OS.
The Soundscape app does not work properly, or sound is heard from another direction
- Follow these steps to perform the Spatial Sound Optimization:
- Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app, select the Services tab, and enable the Service Link setting again.
- Select Settings on the right side of the desired app, and then perform the Spatial Sound Optimization.
- The headphones may not be fitted properly. Remove and refit the headphones and try again. For LinkBuds, refer to the How to find the best ear fitting supporters and replace them if needed article for reference.
I cannot connect my headphones to the Soundscape app
Follow these steps to set up the Soundscape app:
Note: The images below are examples using LinkBuds.
- Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app, select the Services tab, and enable the Service Link setting again.
- In the Services tab, select Settings on the right side of the Soundscape app, and then, following the on-screen guidance, enable the Service Link, measure the Spatial Sound Optimization, and launch the Soundscape app.
- In the Soundscape app, tap (Menu icon), and then select Head Tracking Headphones.
- Tap Connect Headphones and select Sony LinkBuds.
- Select LE-xxxxx, and then follow the on-screen guidance to complete the setup.
