Cannot adjust the volume of the Truly Wireless headphones
Use one of the following methods to adjust the volume.
- Adjust the volume by tapping the touch sensor (Appropriate setting is necessary depending on the headphones model)
- Adjust the volume on the playback device connected via Bluetooth
- Adjust the volume on the Sony | Headphones Connect app
Adjust the volume by tapping the touch sensor
For WF-1000XM5: You can adjust the volume by tapping the touch sensor.
- To increase the volume: Quickly tap the touch sensor on the right earbud during music playback. As you repeatedly tap the touch sensor (with an interval of about 0.4 seconds or less between each tap), a notification sound is emitted and the volume increases by 1 step.
- To decrease the volume: Quickly tap the touch sensor on the left earbud during music playback. As you repeatedly tap the touch sensor (with an interval of about 0.4 seconds or less between each tap), a notification sound is emitted and the volume decreases by 1 step.
For LinkBuds S, WF-1000XM4, WF-1000XM3, and WF-SP800N: You can adjust the volume by changing the touch sensor function to Volume Control using the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
Note: Make sure that the Headphone software and the Sony | Headphones Connect app are both updated to the latest version.
Adjust the volume on the playback device connected via Bluetooth
When making a call, you can adjust the volume as necessary on the playback device connected via Bluetooth.
Adjust the volume on the Sony | Headphones Connect app
Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app, and move the slide bar next to the speaker icon on the Status tab.
Note: On a device that can be linked with the headphones, you will have the ability to change the volume level of the headphones using that device. You will not be able to change the headphones' volume on a device that cannot be linked with the headphones.
