Why does the resolution of the screen become smaller after updating the video driver with Windows® Update?
When the following program is installed with Windows® Update, the resolution becomes 640 x 480 (VGA) after the computer is restarted.
Windows® Update:
Intel Displaycodec Driver Version 6.13.01.3264
When the VAIO computer is restarted in accordance with the message, the resolution restores to the original settings.
Intel Displaycodec Driver Version 6.13.01.3264 listed on Windows® Update is different from what Sony provides for PCG-R505***, and its normal operation on VAIO computers has not been verified yet.
Installing the driver may cause unexpected problems to the performance or the display of the screen.
To restore it to the previous state, perform Roll back driver from Device Manager
After performing the Roll back driver function, please click on the relevant driver below:
