How to run hardware diagnostics using the VAIO Care version 8 software.

Follow the steps below to diagnose specific hardware device issues:

1. Press the Assist button on the computer.
2. VAIO Care™ utility will launch the Troubleshooting utility.
3. Click Advanced Tools.
   
   
   
4. Click Diagnostics.
   
   
   
5. Choose the desired test. (Example: Hard drive, memory etc.)

   NOTE: For this example we will choose the Hard disk drive test.
   
   
   

6. Click either Hard disk drive - quick test or the Hard disk drive - extensive test.
7. The test progress will be displayed within the VAIO Care window.
   
   
   
8. Click OK once the test is completed.
   
   
   
9. Results will be displayed.
