Why can't I remove the PC card from the card slot of my VAIO computer?
or
I would like to know how to eject the PC card from the card slot.
There are two types of eject buttons for the PC card used in VAIO computers.
- The "Press-to-eject" type and
- The "Folding" type.
1. Press-to-eject button
The PCV-LX and PCG-SR series newly uses this type of eject button.
When you insert your PC card, the eject button remains in the state of depressed. To remove the PC card, press the eject button to pop it up from the depressed state and press it again.
When you insert the PC card while the eject button is in the pop-up state, the eject button remains as it is. Press the eject button in this state and you can eject the PC card successfully.
2. Folding button
All machines other than those with the "press-to-eject" button are equipped with this folding type of ejection system.
To eject the PC card, raise the eject button and press it. After inserting the PC card, fold the eject button.
