What happens if I get interrupted by an event on an Xperia device when using PS4 Remote Play?
If you are using PS4 Remote Play and you get interrupted by an event on your Xperia™ device, for example, an incoming call or an unexpected disconnection from the Wi-Fi® network, the PS4 Remote Play app closes and the connection between your Xperia™ device and the PS4™ console is stopped. Other examples of such interruptions include the battery running out of power or the opening of another app on your Android™ device. The behaviour of the PS4™ depends on the implementation of the game, but generally, it is implemented to pause. Depending on your power save settings, the PS4™ goes into standby mode or is automatically turned off after a certain period of inactivity.
When text messages are received by your Xperia™ device while you are using PS4 Remote Play you get notified by a vibration on the Xperia™ device. The behaviour is the same as that exhibited when notifications arrive while the screen is active during normal usage of an Xperia™ device that runs on Android™ version 4.4 or higher. You are also notified when the battery is low.
To restart PS4 Remote Play after an interruption
- From the Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
- Find and tap PS4 Remote Play.
