Why doesn't my Bluetooth device reconnect with my phone?

Solution

This information is only valid for phones running Android 8.0 (Oreo)

You may experience that a Bluetooth device paired to your phone using NFC one-touch doesn't reconnect after you have turned the Bluetooth device off and then back on again.

This works as designed in phones running on Android 8.0 (Oreo).

To reconnect, you have to pair the phone and the Bluetooth device again using NFC one-touch, or manually pair the devices using the phone Settings menu (Settings > Device connection > Bluetooth).
