What is Ultra STAMINA mode?

    Ultra STAMINA mode extends battery lifetime significantly. You can use this mode when you know you won't be able to charge your device for a long time. Only a few basic functions, such as Phone and Messaging, are available.

    Ultra STAMINA mode overview

    • Mobile data and Wi-Fi® are disabled.
    • The Home screen is limited to one pane.
    • You only have access to a limited selection of apps. No apps can be added or removed. The apps are all shown on the Home screen. There is no Application screen.
    • You can't move icons on the Home screen.
    • Apart from the Clock widget, no widgets are available. 
    • You can't change wallpapers, switch themes or customise your screen.
    • The Settings menu only includes settings that are relevant to Ultra STAMINA mode.

    When Ultra STAMINA mode is activated, you can use the following applications:

    • Phone
    • Contacts
    • Messaging
    • Camera
    • Album
    • Calendar
    • Alarm & clock
    • Calculator (in some products)
    • FM radio (where available)
    • Settings
    • Music

    Activating Ultra STAMINA mode

    Android™ 6.0 (devices with latest software) or higher

    To activate Ultra STAMINA mode

    1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
    2. Find and tap Settings > BatteryUltra STAMINA mode.
    3. Tap Activate > OK.

    Android 4.4, 5.0 or 5.1

    To activate Ultra STAMINA mode

    1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
    2. Find and tap Settings > Power management > Ultra STAMINA mode.
    3. Tap Activate > OK.

    Deactivating Ultra STAMINA mode

    To deactivate Ultra STAMINA mode

    1. Drag down the status bar to open the Notification panel.
    2. Tap Deactivate Ultra STAMINA mode.
