How do I move apps from my device's internal storage to a memory card?

Note: For Android 9 and onwards, this feature of moving apps from my device's internal storage to a memory card is not available. for more info click on "Why isn't "move apps to SD card" available in Xperia devices from 2018?"
Android 8.0
To move apps to the memory card
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted in your device.
- Find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > App info.
- Tap an app that you want to move to the memory card. Note! Only some apps can be moved to a memory card.
- Tap Storage.
- If the app supports changing where it's stored, a CHANGE button appears. Tap CHANGE.
- Tap SD Card > MOVE.
Android 6.0, 7.0, 7.1 or 7.1.1
To move apps to the memory card
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted in your device.
- From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
- Find and tap Settings > Apps.
- Tap an app that you want to move to the memory card. Note! Only some apps can be moved to a memory card.
- Tap Storage.
- If the app supports changing where it's stored, a CHANGE button appears. Tap CHANGE.
- Tap SD Card > MOVE.
Android 4.4, 5.0 or 5.1
To move apps to the memory card
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted in your device.
- From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
- Find and tap Settings > Apps.
- Tap the On SD card tab.
- Select application, then tap Move to SD card.
Note! Some apps cannot be transferred to a memory card.
Note! On Xperia Z series devices that run on Android 5.0 or higher, you can move apps to the SD card. If your Xperia Z series device is running an older Android version, try updating to Android 5.0 or higher.
