How to enable or disable Windows firewall in Windows XP?
The steps will be different if the computer is installed with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).

- Open the Network Connections in Control Panel, right click the network connection icon with firewall function which user wants to enable, click Properties.

- Click Advanced in (Connection name) Properties.
- In the column of Internet Connection Firewall, check Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet, and then click OK.
- Enable firewall
Check Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet.
Click Settings... for more options.
