RDR-HDC100, RDR-HDC300, RDR-HDC500 - Issue in some regional areas (Port Pirie and Mount Gambier in South Australia and Broken Hill in New South Wales)

Sony has been made aware of an issue with its DVD/ HDD Recorder models - RDR-HDC100, RDR-HDC300 and RDR-HDC500 - in some limited regional locations; that may cause a problem with reception / display of some TV channels.

The symptom displayed will be an intermittent freezing of the picture (sound may continue). The picture may recover by itself, but the issue may also recur.

Currently, this issue is only occurring in some regional areas (Port Pirie and Mount Gambier in South Australia and Broken Hill in New South Wales). Reception of ABC or SBS broadcasts is not affected.

Sony Australia is currently examining the issue and looking to find a solution as soon as possible.
