How to find the model number and name of an Xperia mobile phone or tablet

There are a few different ways to find the model name and number. For Xperia devices please read below.
Tip: A model name would be "Xperia 5 V", where as model number looks like "XQ-DE72".

1. Using the Support app

Support app version 4.0.18 or higher

To find the model number and name of your Xperia device

1. Find and tap Support .
2. Make sure you are on the Main tab .
3. Click on Device overview. The name and model number appear under Model.

Support app version lower than 4.0.18

To find the model number and name of your Xperia device

1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Support .
3. Tap the Device info tab . The name and model number appear.

If your Xperia device doesn't have the Support app, you can check the model from Settings as below.

2. Use the model name from Settings

• Tap Settings > About phone > Model

• Tap Settings > System > About phone > Model

• Tap Settings > About phone/tablet > Model number

3. Finding the model number and name when the device is off

You can look for the name of the product on the box that the device came in or on the receipt or invoice that you received from the original vendor. The name of the device is also printed on the cover of the Startup guide that came with the device.

SGP tablet models

Tablet S

The model number is located on the back of the unit in the bottom-left corner. (e.g., SGP-T112US/S)

Tablet p

Gently remove the bottom / back cover. The model number is in the top-left corner, inside the compartment. (e.g., SGP-T211US/S)

Xperia Tablet

The model number is on the back of the tablet as shown here. (e.g., SGP-T121US/S)
