Sony is offering a firmware upgrade for Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera NEX-3 and NEX-5.
Please read all the information described below and upgrade the firmware by downloading the upgrade program pursuant to the procedure explained below.

Applicable model name of products

Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera NEX-3 and NEX-5

Applicable firmware version of the units

The applicable products are with the firmware version Ver.01, Ver.02 or Ver.03
(Please visit the download page to check for the firmware version installed on your product.)

Contents of upgrade

1. Addition of the Picture Effect function.
2. Addition of the Peaking function at manual focus mode.
3. When switching off the power button, the α logo is displayed in the LCD monitor while the system is processing to shut down.

Note: This upgrade program also includes the benefit and functions from upgrade program Ver.02 and Ver.03.
