Warning regarding use of unauthorised software for Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera and Digital Still Camera

Dear Valued Sony Customer,

We recently became aware that unauthorised Sony software has become available to download and use to modify specifications of our Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera α™ and Digital Still Camera, Cyber-shot®. This usage has been publicised on some web sites and Internet bulletin boards.

Such unauthorised software is not officially released by Sony, hence we are not in a position to assure its performance and operation.

Please note that if you use software downloaded from sources other than Sony's official website, its operation is not assured and your product will no longer be covered under warranty.
