Charging takes too long or the Walkman does not fully charge.
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.
Check the following:
- Use the USB Type-C cable supplied with the Walkman player. If you use another cable, charging may take a long time, or may not fully charge the player.
Note: The average charging time is approximately 4.5 to 5.5 hours, depending on the model. For more specific charging specifications, refer to the Help Guide for your model. - Charge the Walkman battery at ambient temperature between 5 ℃ 5 °C and 35 °C (41 ºF to 95 ºF).
Note: When the inner temperature in the player is high, the player will not fully charge. This is a specification to save the battery life. We recommend charging the player at a moderate temperature to prevent temperature rise. - When the ambient temperature exceeds the recommended range, (a temperature abnormality icon) appears on the status bar and charging is forcibly terminated.

When the Battery Care function is turned on, the maximum charging capacity is limited, and the battery will not fully charge. This is not a malfunction.
