Why doesn't the icon of the CD drive change when a media is inserted into the DVD/CD-ROM drive?
The icon of the CD drive does not change when a media is inserted into the DVD/CD-ROM drive. The media can be normally read or written though.
The icon of the DVD/CD-ROM drive may not change everytime the media is inserted, depending on the time taken to read the media. Nevertheless, you may want the following methods to see if the icon can be enabled to be displayed again.
1. Remove the media and insert it again.
2. If the symptom persists, restart Windows® while keeping the media in the drive.
Even if the icon doesn't change, it is normal if the media can still be read or written.
In this case, please use the computer.
