How to enable sound output through the speaker connector and the optical out connector on the docking station or port replicator?

Please refer to the following steps to enable sound output through the speaker connector and the optical out connector on the docking station or port replicator:

1.  Click Start, select All Programs and click VAIO Control Center.
2.  Double-click Station and Port replicator and select Enable output to the speaker connector and the OPTICAL OUT connector on the station/port replicator.

3.  Click Apply and click OK.

Note:  This setting can be made without having to restart the computer.
