Windows Me: When I remove peripherals such as the PC card, USB devices and the i.LINK equipment from my computer, the error message like "Unsafe Removal of Device" appears.

    Windows Me: When I remove peripherals such as the PC card, USB devices and the i.LINK equipment from my computer, the following error message ("Unsafe Removal of Device")
    appears.

    -In case of the PC card
    Unexpected PC card Removal.
    You should use the PC card icon on the Taskbar to stop PC cards before removing them. Removing cards without warning the system can cause unexpected problems.

    -In the case of USB devices,
    You have unplugged or ejected a device without stopping it which can cause your computer to crash and lose valuable data. Please use the hotplug icon in the status bar to
    safely remove devices before unplugging them."

    Stop peripherals such as PC cards, USB devices and i.LINK equipment before you remove them.
    When you remove peripherals which removal displays the error message like "Unsafe Removal of Device", stop them with the following procedure before their removal.

    (Procedure)
    1. Double-click the icon of "Unplug or Eject Hardware" in the task tray.

    2. The dialog box of "Unplug or Eject Hardware" appears. Select the peripheral that you want to remove from "Hardware Devices" and click the "Stop" button.

    3. Confirm the peripheral that you want to remove on the dialog box of "Stop a Hardware device" and click the "OK" button.

    4. When the following confirmation window (Safe to Remove Hardware) appears, click the "OK" button. Through the above procedure, the device stops completely. You can now remove the device safely from your computer.

    "Safe to Remove Hardware
