Solution

To add a phone number as a shortcut on the Home screen

1. Touch and hold an empty area on your Home screen until a menu appears. 
2. Find and tap Contacts > Direct Dial.
3. Touch and hold Direct Dial. The Contacts app opens automatically when you stop holding.
4. Tap a contact phone number. A Direct Dial shortcut icon appears on your Home screen.
