When connecting the PlayStation 4 Pro and the TV via an AV device, the screen becomes dark.

If you connect the devices via HDCP2.2 compatible AV receivers or AV amplifiers, etc., the screen may be black depending on your TV model or connection environment.

    For Android TV models:

If the PlayStation 4 Pro and TV are connected via AV device, both connected HDMI cables must be the HDMI cables supplied with the PlayStation 4 Pro or the Premium high speed HDMI cables which support 18 Gbps. If either of the HDMI cables are not equivalent with these standards, the TV screen will be black.
If the HDMI cable included with the PlayStation 4 Pro is the only cable that is equivalent to these standards, connect the PlayStation 4 Pro directly to the TV with the HDMI cable.

    For other models:

    1. Check that the HDMI terminal of your TV supports HDCP 2.2.
Depending on the TV, some of the HDMI terminals do not support HDCP 2.2. If the HDMI cable is connected to the non-HDCP 2.2 compatible HDMI terminal, connect it to the HDCP 2.2 compatible one.
For details about compatibility with HDCP 2.2, refer to the following Q&A.
