How is Location information used?
Location information is used purposes that include optimizing the services provided by Google service and other applications according to country. Depending on the application, if you do not enable Location, the app may not work properly.
If disabling the Location setting causes issues, follow the steps below to turn on Location.
- Set the Location status to On or Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
- Open the Settings screen. How to access Settings
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Privacy — Location — Location status — Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
- Device Preferences — Location — Location status — Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
- Location — Location status — On or Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
- Set Location in Restricted Profile to True.
NOTE: This step is only necessary if you are using a Restricted Profile.- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select Settings.

- Device Preferences — Security & restrictions — Allowed apps — Location — On.
- Security & restrictions — Allowed apps — Location — On.
- Security & restrictions — Restricted Profile — Settings — Allowed apps — Settings — Location — true.
NOTE: The TV does not have a GPS module, but location information can be estimated from Wi-Fi or network information.
