No audio when the computer is connected to a TV with an HDMI connection.

Some TVs are not recognized by the computer as a HDMI device, but instead, are recognized as a DVI device. Since DVI connections do not support audio, the computer is unable to transfer audio to the TV with a HDMI connection. The computer will still support audio output through other audio connections.

To output audio to the TV, connect the composite audio output on the computer to the composite audio input on the TV. On a notebook computer, connect the headphones jack to the composite audio input on the TV. Be sure to use the audio input on the TV that is adjacent to the HDMI connection.
