My car stereo won't play music from the USB device
The car stereo receiver doesn’t work after I connect a USB device to it.
IMPORTANT: Not all car stereo receivers have USB capabilities. To see if your car stereo has the USB function described in this solution, check the specifications or the supplied operating guide. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
When you connect the USB device to the car stereo, wait approximately 20 to 30 seconds for the USB device to be recognized. If the USB device is still not recognized after 30 seconds, disconnect and then reconnect the USB device.
If there is no playback after reconnecting the device, see the following.
- Check if there is any content stored in your USB device.
- Check whether the format of the content stored in your USB device is compatible with your car stereo. For details about supported formats for USB playback, refer to the manual of the product.
