How to adjust the aperture value while recording a movie.
- Set the focus mode dial on the camera to Manual Focus (MF).
NOTE: If you are using a lens with focus mode switch, switch it to MF.
- Set the mode dial to Movie.
NOTE: The camera can record movies from any shooting mode but only Movie on the mode dial supports manual adjustment of the aperture value.
3. Press the Fn button and select Aperture Priority or Manual Exposure.
4. Set the desired aperture value with the front or rear control dial.
5. Begin recording.
IMPORTANT: If you change the aperture value while recording movies, a clicking sound may be heard but this is not a malfunction. If the clicking sound is noticeable, it is recommended to use an external microphone or you can set the Audio Recording option to Off in the menu to disable the camera microphone.
