An error is displayed on the LCD screen of the Live-View Remote.
If the following messages appear, follow the instructions.
01-01/ 02-02:
This message will be displayed when the camera is turned off or Wi-Fi is disconnected while connected via Wi-Fi. Also, when the distance between the camera and Live-view remote is too far, it will be displayed.
Select OK and turn the camera on, then perform the Wi-Fi connection operation again.
01-02:
This message will be displayed if you fail to connect the camera with the remote control.
Check if the connection mode of the camera and remote control is set to single connection.
If the connection mode is not set to single connection, change the connection mode and reconnect via Wi-Fi.
01-03/ 01-04:
This message will be displayed if you connect to a non-compatible camera.
02-01:
When you are using Action Cam, this message will be displayed if the memory card is not inserted or the memory card is not recognized. Insert the memory card properly, confirming that each side is facing the correct direction.
NOTE: Please note when you are using the DSC-QX series. The shutter is released even if the memory card is not inserted.
03-01/ 03-02:

03-01 is displayed on the Live-View Remote and cannot connect to the camera.
03-03/ 03-04:
This message will be displayed if you fail to connect the camera with the remote control or signal traffic may be heavy or this unit may be too far from the access point.
Check if the connection mode of the camera and remote control is set to single connection. If the connection mode is not set to single connection, change the connection mode and reconnect via Wi-Fi. Move the camera and the remote control closer
03-05:
This message will be displayed if the Live-View Remote Control cannot connect to the camera.
The Live-View Remote control has already connected to the maximum number of connectable cameras. Check the number of cameras you are connecting.
04-03:
This message will be displayed if the request to connect to the camera failed.
Check on the camera. You might need to press the REC button to accept the connection.
04-04:
This message will be displayed if there is no response from the camera.
There may be signal congestion or the remote is too far from the camera. Move the camera closer to the Live-View Remote Control.
05-01:
This message will be displayed if the camera and the remote can not take images.
Check if the camera is in shooting mode.
05-02/05-04:
This message will be displayed if the camera settings and the memory card combination is not correct. See the related Q&A below.
Error: MEDIA or a line of dashes (----), RCVER are displayed on the LCD screen.
05-03:
This message will be displayed if the camera Cannot stop recording. This usually happens if there is no enough space on the memory card left.
Using a computer, transfer and delete some files on memory card.
06-01:
This message will be displayed if formatting the recording medium failed.
Check the memory card or try a different memory card.
06-02:
The message will be displayed if using a memory card that does not support XAVC S or XAVC S 4K recording on a camera capable of recording XAVC S and XAVC S 4K
Use an SDXC card with at least 4GB capacity, class 10 speed class or faster, of UHS speed class 1.
NOTE: If planning to record at 100 Mbps bitrate, UHS speed class 3 is necessary.
07-01/07-02/07-03:
This message will be displayed if there is something wrong with the recording media or there is a signal congestion.
Check the memory card or bring the devices close together.
07-04:
This message will be displayed if the camera is unable to delete a file. Usually this is caused by signal congestion.
Move the devices closer to improve signal stability.
10-01:
This message will be displayed if the camera's temperature has risen. Turn the power of the camera off and leave the camera alone for 10 minutes or longer.
Code Starting with an E or a C
Self-diagnosis function of the device might have detected a hardware problem. The device will need service. Contact Sony support to set up service.
If you receive error numbers other than the above, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the device.
